Was glad you had made your trip safe and that you met the good Ketterman people. All Well. We are getting along alright so far. Edward, Wm? Lambert his little boy and Don is all who stay at night. Minnie and Valley cook for us. I was at Circleville yesterday. and will go over and show our work on the new location today. tomorrow I expect to go to Franklin and meet the County Court with our report and map of our work and will do all I can to get a road connecting us with State road so we can get out better. We have a letter from Oscar and he does not say anything about coming. I wish you would get prices of Bibles suitable for presents to Olive, Becca, Dessie and other children who commit to memory the Ten Commandments. I want to get their names on you know. Landes (Becca) died on August 19, 1926 and was probably buried the following day. In those days before embalming it was the custom to bury the dead as soon as possible. Unfortunately, there is no diary for 1926 so we don't have any comments by Daniel on the death of his wife.
